With the Holistic Foundation, we support individuals in realizing their own potential in order to shape a better future together with the community. We believe that we can only solve the challenges of an increasingly complex world by working together. This requires the individual strengths of each person, which we aim to promote, initiate, and inspire through a holistic approach to lifelong learning, vocation, well-being, and the environment. Our goal is to support people in finding their own path and recognizing their individual potential so that we can shape a bright future together.
At the heart of the Holistic Foundation are three signature projects: LIFE HAMBURG, an innovative future campus for lifelong learning and community; the Academy of LIFE, a school that empowers children and promotes their individual strengths; and holi.social, a digital platform that makes social engagement more accessible to everyone. We combine our values with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and want to break new ground in the world of foundations. Together with my wife Janina Lin Otto, I founded the Holistic Foundation in 2018 as a non-profit foundation under civil law.
LIFE HAMBURG will be a campus for lifelong learning, intergenerational coexistence, and holistic well-being, built in harmony with its surroundings and nature. It's due to open in summer of 2026.

With the Academy of LIFE, a privately run elementary and district school for grades 1-10 will be established on the LIFE HAMBURG campus by the 2026/27 school year. At the Academy of LIFE, we focus on the individual strengths and interests of children. Our school aims to be a place of learning and living that encourages children, opens up opportunities, and empowers them to follow their own path.

As Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Michael Otto Foundation, it is our task, together with the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board, to promote the company's location in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg by acquiring, holding, securing, and expanding the direct and indirect majority stake in the Otto Group. The Michael Otto Foundation acts as the majority owner of the Otto Group. In spring 2026, I will take over the chairmanship of the Foundation Board from my father.
In 2012, I founded the non-profit Holistic Health Institute (HHI), which promotes a holistic understanding of health and recovery processes that encompasses physiological, immunological, and psychological aspects. The HHI is committed to improving medical and therapeutic services in Germany, including a stronger focus on the individual, interdisciplinary cooperation between departments and professional groups, and the empowerment of those affected.
